Workshops

Environmental Health Risk Management Workshop - 16 and 17 February 2012 - Rockhampton

The purpose of this workshop is to update and inform environmental health practitioners on - (1) the basic procedures for assessing risk for a variety of environmental health issues; and (2) the appropriate use of regulatory tools for the management of environmental health risks.  The workshop will consist of a series of presentations and scenario-based activities. << Registration >> << Program>>

Contemporary Food Safety Training Course - 26 and 27 March 2012 - Brisbane

The objectives are to cater for both the regulator and the operator, sharing experiences and case studies, and to provide an open learning environment for all participants. This is two day Course. << Registration >>

Public Health School - 1 and 2 May 2012 - Brisbane

This inaugural Public Health School will be held at the Qld Rugby Club Ballymore. Program topics and registration will be available shortly.

Ensuring an Effective Disaster Response: Are You Ready for the Next Disaster ?

Regrettably this Course scheduled for Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 December 2011 at the Queensland Rugby Club Ballymore, Brisbane, has been postponed until further notice.

 Disaster Management for Public Health Course 2012 -

The Disaster Management for Public Health Course has been delivered annually since 1997 and is widely recognized for its innovative approach to learning outcomes and quality of course content and presenters. For Queensland Health employes, this course satisfies the learning outcomes of the Queensland Health Disaster Management Incident Management System (IMS) Training Level 2 - Advanced Command and Control.

Enviro School 2011 - 17 and 18 November 2011 - Brisbane - Logan Metro Indoor Sports Centre

This Enviro-School provided an intensive, contemporary and highly practical two-day environmental professional development program in Queensland. An additional bonus was an exciting field trip to a high risk industry looking at how to maximise an effective EMP in practice to go beyond regulatory compliance. Best Practice Environmental Health Management - 27 October 2011 - Queensland Rugby Club, Ballymore

Real examples of innovation and best practice environmental health management were presented and discussed, showcasing how different organisations are facing the challenges of increasing workloads with limited resources <<Program>>.

Noise Management Course - Townsville  -  7 and 8 September 2011 - Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club.
